Children’s books on inclusive behaviour for mental illnesses and disabilities
I have created two children’s books, one about autism and the other about obsessive-compulsive disorder. The intention of my books is to teach children in Years 1 to 2 (aged 6 to 8) how to act inclusively around other children and people who have a disability or a mental illness. Through personal experiences, I have seen first-hand the need for both of these books and how the implementation of these products could impact the way children act around other people.
