Trendy Adaptive Clothing for Amputees
Through my design of adaptive clothing, I want to provide more ergonomically suitable and trendy clothing for young amputees. Looking into existing adaptive clothing lines and brands, I have seen an urgent need for more diversified garments catered to young, fashion-conscious individuals that are designed specifically for amputees and prosthetics. My designs include features such as removable pant legs, alternatives for buttons to make garments easier to remove and single-sleeve tops. These features improve the wearing experience and address issues that pose for amputees seen in typical, existing garments. My designs incorporate visual elements from tech-wear and utilitarian fashion, creating a futuristic and stylish look. By making clothing more comfortable, convenient and appealing to the style of young amputees, I hope that it brings confidence and happiness. We should all be given opportunities to feel good and express our individualities through fashion.
