Recreation of Balmain Leagues Club, Rozelle
For my Major Design Project, I have chosen to redevelop Balmain Leagues Club in Rozelle. I have taken the existing building and turned it into shop fronts and a community space, which also houses apartments in upper levels. This development implements residential stay and hospitality to local and current residents of the area (Balmain and Rozelle) and provides space for greenery and outdoor activities. The apartment complex aims to utilise sustainable and environmentally friendly practices such as passive design. It also contains characteristics that allow for durability, ensuring the space is able to be used by future generations. Therefore, it will encourage sustainability in the community and help protect the environment.
