Sustainable Teen Swimwear
Living in our changing climate is challenging, and being a teenager trying to understand this changing world can be more challenging. Teenagers feel the weight of their actions on the environment. There is little to no accommodation for us when purchasing goods as we cannot afford the sustainable options, or there are no products available. My research found there is a gap in the sustainable swimwear market, so I chose to centre my project on this niche. My swimwear range blends current and past trends to create timeless designs. I designed the print of the fabric and had it printed on eco-friendly fabric made of ninety per cent recycled fibres. I constructed five of the six garments in my range and developed over twenty prototypes in their development.
