Attraction
My Body of Work explores one’s attraction to the ocean. Why are we so drawn to it? Is it the qualities of calm, openness and depth that we draw from its aquatic hues? Some might even say it is the sense of nostalgia and feeling of belonging that is evoked. Every person may feel an attraction towards the ocean in a different way. Our brains have been wired to naturally react positively to water and thus, being near it is soothing. I painted the ocean from different angles at different times to present various perspectives of our attraction to the vast ocean.
